Who doesn’t want to help out our furry friends?
Our latest Clarus Cares initiative was a pet food/supply drive for the CT Humane Society. CHS is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state and helps thousands of pets every year. They are an independent nonprofit organization that relies solely on the generosity and support of donors and volunteers.
Our pet food/supply drive for CHS was held from Feb. 3-Feb. 22.
Clarus employees really banded together for the CT Humane Society.

Our list of generous donations included the following:
- 3 packages of paper towels
- 2 pairs of sheets
- Bag of newspapers
- 2 boxes of dryer sheets
- 2 dog collars
- 1 bed
- 195 pounds of litter
- 1 litter scoop
- 2 litter boxes
- 2 boxes of garbage bags
- 2 pet nursing kits
- 3 boxes of freezer bags
- 88 cans of cat food
- 8 bags of dog treats
- 3 jars of peanut butter
- 6 cans of dog food
- 111 pounds of dog food
- 6 cans of kitten food
- 20 dog bones
- 102 toys
Our Office Coordinator, Jennifer Kellogg, said that Melissa from CHS was “beyond excited” when she came by to pick up all the donations.
“Melissa said they will be put to good use,” Jennifer said. “Thank you to all who donated to a great cause. We have definitely made a whole lot of four-legged friends very happy.”
Whether it’s partnering with United Way and Westmoor Park for their Plant-A-Row for the Hungry project in West Hartford … or working with Hands on Hartford to support its Nutrition Backpack program … or participating in The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, Clarus Cares is our way to give something back to the people and charities near and dear to us.
Events like the pet food/supply drive for CHS reminds everyone at Clarus about what we stand for, and our commitment to the surrounding communities.
Giving back to the community is one of the things we hold dear to our hearts here at Clarus Commerce.
We believe that companies should be measured by the contributions they make to their local communities, and that’s why we created Clarus Cares: To provide opportunities for our employees to lend a collective hand to people, causes, and organizations in the cities and towns around us.
