Jet.com killed its membership fees, so what now?

Jet.com’s decision not to charge annual fees led industry observers to wonder how it would make a profit.  As Clarus Commerce CEO Tom Caporaso tells New York Business Journal, Jet has abandoned a substantial potential revenue stream.  As a result, Jet will have to maximize the return on its marketing budget and keep driving greater customer engagement in order to make a profit from sales commissions in the long term.
