In Sprint Deal, Amazon Disrupts Its Own Prime Model with Monthly Alternative

In the wake of Amazon’s decision to sell monthly Prime memberships to Sprint customers, Tom Caporaso, CEO of Clarus Commerce, tells International Business Times that the deal will help Amazon access a group of consumers that it may not have been able to reach previously. A $10.99 charge on the monthly telephone bill, Caporaso says, is also likely to be more palatable to customers than the $99 annual fee would be.
