Free Shipping Is Customers’ Number One Desire, To The Surprise of No One

In this article, International Business Times reporter Oriana Schwindt reported on the Walker Sands’ 2016 Future of Retail Study, which found that 9 out of 10 online shoppers listed  free shipping as the biggest incentive for them to buy more online.  In addition to free shipping, 68 percent of consumers listed free returns and exchanges and 69 percent listed one-day delivery as incentives to shop online more frequently. Clarus Commerce CEO Tom Caporaso tells the IBT that as online shoppers are screaming for free shipping, retailers are trying to figure out ways to afford the growing demand.
